Hydro Fluorosilicic Acid. SHIPPING The Hydro Fluorosilicic Acid shall be delivered in bulk in the awarded bidder's trucks, as required, to the Water Treatment Plant, 3245 Waterworks Drive, Topeka, Kansas, 66606. The trucks shall be equipped to transfer the chemical into storage tanks. Receipt of shipments will be made only between the hours of 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday excluding designated Water Division holidays. CHEMICAL COMPOSITION The Hydro Fluorosilicic Acid shall contain not less than 23% H2SiF6 by weight. Maximum concentration, which will be acceptable, is 25%. The material shall contain not more than .02% heavy metals expressed as lead (Pb) and shall contain no other soluble or organic substances in quantities capable of a deleterious effect upon the health of those consuming water that has been properly treated with Hydro Fluosilicic Acid. It shall meet American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standards B703-11, or latest version. The product shall be National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) certified as a drinking water additive. These specifications are for furnishing Hydro Fluorosilicic Acid in conformance with the requirements set forth herein and delivered to the Water Division in FOB shipments at Topeka, Kansas, Water Treatment Plant. Bids shall be for furnishing twelve (12) month supply of Hydro Fluorosilicic Acid (basis 23%) in 4,000-gallon tank-truck loads, for the period July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. The estimated quantity is 160,000 pounds for the twelve (12) month supply. The quantity listed is an estimated supply only and the Water Division reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity.
