Renovation of a municipal facility in Topeka, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Renovation of Entryway Vestibule. SITE EVALUATION: Failure to adequately inspect the premises shall not relieve the successful vendor from furnishing without additional cost to the County any materials, equipment, supplies or labor that may be required to carry out the intent of the RFP. Submission of a proposal shall be construed as evidence that the vendor has made necessary examination, inspection and investigation. SECTION 01 3000 - Product submittals: Submit product data for each product used. Allow 3 weeks for initial review and 2 weeks for resubmittal. All products to be installed per manufacturers recommendations. All products as specified as basis of design, all products shall be approved by owner. SECTION 01 5000 - Facilities & temporary controls: Provide safety precautions around construction & staging areas. Provide barricades, warning signs & environmental protection to comply with building code requirements, health & safety regulations, police & fire department considerations & environmental protection regulations. Comply with NFPA 241 "standard for safeguarding construction alterations and demolition operations." SECTION 01 7000 - Execution & Closeout Coordinate excessively loud construction activities with owner. Protect existing building & site to prevent damage. Contractor shall be responsible to photo document site prior to construction. Contractor shall be responsible for fixing all damages to building if not proven that it was previously existing by photo Documentation. Examine existing conditions prior to beginning work. Coordinate any issues with architect. Beginning of work constitutes acceptance. Of existing conditions. Make vertical elements plumb and horizontal elements level unless otherwise indicated. Execute final cleaning before substantial completion walk thru. Notify owner when work is ready for substantial and final completion. Shawnee County reserve the right to accept or reject any part of, or all of, any bid or proposal
