Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in West Unity, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Asphalt Concrete Pavement Sealing Kunkle Maintenance Building, Indian Meadow Service Plaza, Tiffin River Service Plaza, Swanton Maintenance Building, and TT Lot 59. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Combination Ten Percent (10%) Bid Guaranty and Fifty Percent (50%) Performance Bond applicable to the total Contract value, or a certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit on a solvent bank, payable to the order of the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission, in an amount not less than Ten Percent (10%) of the total amount bid. These Bid Guaranty requirements are in conformance with the Ohio Revised Code Section 5537.07. (See Instructions to Bidders (Part 2), Sections C and E for submittal of Bid Guaranty). Each Bid must be on the form prescribed by the Commission and must comply with the terms and conditions set forth in all of the documents provided with this Bid Invitation. The award of the Contract, if any award be made, will be to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder therefor whose Bid complies with all the prescribed requirements. The Commission reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive minor technicalities or minor irregularities. Withdrawal of Bids: A Bidder may withdraw its Bid, provided the written request to withdraw is in the hands of the Procurement Manager by the time set for the Opening of Bids. When such Bid is reached, it will be returned to the Bidder unopened. No Bid may be withdrawn after it has been opened, except under such circumstances and upon such terms and conditions as the Commission may require. Bid Validity: Bids are valid for sixty (60) calendar days after Bid Opening during which time the Commission shall either award or reject Bids. If no action is taken during the sixty (60) calendar day period, the Bids shall become invalid. Rejection of Bid by Commission: If the lowest Bidder is not responsive or responsible, the Bidder shall be rejected, and the Commission's General Counsel or designee shall notify the Bidder in writing by ordinary mail and electronic mail of the finding and the reasons for the finding. Liquidated Damages. Liquidated Damages, in addition to any additional remedies the Commission may have at law or equity, for the Contractor's failure to timely complete its work shall accrue in the amount of $150.00 per day the work remains incomplete after the time for completion expires. Access and Time of Completion (As specified in SP 103): Mobilization by the Contractor shall be deemed the Commencement of Work for purposes of determining the time for completion of the work. The Contractor may mobilize on site after receiving Notice to Proceed and access to the Turnpike. The Commission anticipates providing the Contractor access to Kunkle Maintenance Building, Indian Meadow and Tiffin River Service Plazas, Swanton Maintenance Building, and TT Lot 59, on or about July 8, 2024. The Contractor shall achieve final completion of all work for Indian Meadow and Tiffin River Service Plazas within 28 days of Commencement of Work or on or before September 27, 2024, whichever occurs first, all other locations must be completed within 14 days of Commencement of Work for each location or on or before September 27, 2024, whichever occurs first.
