Université du Québec à Montréal hereinafter named the Owner, having its headquarters at 1430, rue Saint-Denis, H2X 3J8, Montréal, Québec, is requesting tenders for the redevelopment of the Sanguinet garden, in order to make the emergency exits of the R pavilions , D, F and Q in accordance with the occupancy capacity of the garden. To do this, one of the strategies employed is to eliminate the fence along Sanguinet Street, with the aim of providing emergency exits on each side of the garden and thus facilitating evacuation. New prefabricated concrete steps must be installed in the southwest corner of the garden, in order to bridge the difference in levels between the garden floor and the sidewalk on Rue Sanguinet. The project also requires partial landscaping of the garden, involving some horticultural work. The Contract also includes the recovery of certain existing equipment and their reinstallation. The Contractor must consider that users and occupants of the building will continue their activities during the work. The Contractor must act in such a way as to minimize inconvenience to users and staff. Likewise, the exterior courtyard, parking, access, etc., will also continue to be used throughout the duration of the work. The Contractor must ensure that users will have access to the premises and facilities in a safe, healthy and seamless climate. This includes all development work, all demolition, protection, leveling and other work
necessary for the complete completion of the Work and all related work such as: development and cleaning of the site, temporary protection work, repairs and modifications to the existing interior fittings. All jointing, repair and drilling work required for the work herein is included. *Award is subject to final approval.
