Bidders must sign, in ink, the bid form and all other documents where indicated. Unsigned bids will not be read. Regardless of when the work is begun on this contract, all work shall be completed within 70 Calendar Days from the date of the written Notice to Proceed The anticipated notice to proceed for the project is on or around 6/1/2024. The City estimates contract approval, which may or may not require City Council approval, on or about May 9, 2024. The City reserves the right to adjust this date as necessary There is a mandatory bidder's questionnaire (enclosed with the spec book) that is due with the bid. If the questionnaire is not received by this date and time, the general contractor will not be able to submit a bid on this project. The proposed work includes the furnishing of materials, tools, equipment and labor necessary to construct Sommers Road Widening & Improvements in O'Fallon, Missouri, with Bid Number: 24-027. Work includes: Widening Sommers Road between Discovery Ridge Elementary and Fox Wood Drive to provide for a uniform three lane road, construction of sidewalk, curb ramps and curb and gutter in various locations. Including a mill and Superpave Asphalt overlay of Sommers Road from Belmont Landing to Hwy DD, approximately 1 mile. All requests for clarifications on these bidding documents must be received no later than Wednesday, April 17, 2024, by 2:00 PM.
