The City of Surrey (the "City") invites quotations from experienced and qualified contractors for the provision of Tree Base Maintenance services for the City. The Contractor will be responsible for maintaining both hard tree bases between January 1st to December 31st and soft surface tree bases between April 1st and September 30th. The description of the Goods and Services sets out the minimum requirements of the City. A person that submits a Quotation (the "Contractor") should prepare a Quotation that meets the minimum requirements, and may as it may choose, in addition, also include goods, services or terms that exceed the minimum requirements. All inquiries related to this RFQ should be directed in writing to the person named below (the "City Representative"). Information obtained from any person or source other than the City Representative may not be relied upon. Inquiries and responses will be recorded and may be distributed to all Contractors at the discretion of the City. The Contractor will provide the Goods and Services for on or about 8 months (start date) and terminating on December 31st, 2024 (the "Term") The City may at any time prior to 30 days before the end of the Term, by written notice to the Contractor, extend the Term for a period of time not to exceed three (3) one-year renewals. If the City elects to extend the Term, the provisions of this Agreement will remain in force, including the Fees, except where amended in writing by the parties. The City reserves the right and discretion to divide up the Goods and Services, either by scope, geographic area, or other basis as the City may decide, and to select one or more Contractors to enter into discussions with the City for one or more Contracts to perform a portion or portions of the Goods and Services. If the City exercises its discretion to divide up the Goods and Services, the City will do so reasonably having regard for the RFQ and the basis of Quotations. The Contractor will obtain and maintain throughout the term of this Agreement a valid City of Surrey business license.
