Renovation of a municipal facility in Dwight, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Project is to replace the HVAC systems in Buildings 1 and 2. Work will include new hot and chilled water distribution piping, new fan coils, new air handling units, temperature controls and all appurtenances for a complete and functioning system. LOCATION: Fox Developmental Center USING AGENCY: Department of Human Services COUNTY: Livingston County Single Prime Delivery Method: Either the Single Prime Bidder or a protected subcontractor must be listed for each trade provided on the Bid Form. Only one protected subcontractor may be listed for each trade. Failure to identify the name and bid proposal cost of each listed protected subcontractor on the provided Bid Form or providing more than one protected subcontractor for each trade will be a material deficiency (no time will be allowed after bid opening to remedy deficiency) and will result in the rejection of the bid. All protected subcontractors listed must be prequalified with CDB in accordance with CDB Standard Documents for Construction, Article 00 21 05. COST RANGE: under $7,000,000 Meeting participants will not be able to ask questions either verbally or via the meeting's chat feature. Minority, Women, Persons with Disabilities, and Veteran Business Subcontractor/Supplier Participation is Applicable. Building BZ001 is the Main Building and BZ002 is the Administration Building at the Fox Development Center in Dwight, Illinois. The overall renovation scope of work is to replace fan coils, hydronic piping, the ventilation systems and temperature controls in Building BZ001 and Building BZ002. Building BZ001 is a patient treatment and living space and is approximately 44,333 square feet in size. Building BZ002 is the administration building with an approximate size of 36,992 square feet. Building BZ001 consists of Floors 1-3 and a basement, while Building BZ002 consists of Floors 1-2, a basement and an attic. The two buildings are connected via above & below grade walkways. The asbestos abatement scope of work shall be coordinated with the Using Agency, CDB, and CDB Representative. Work shall be completed in multiple phases and multiple mobilizations will be required to complete the scope of work. Scope of Work: 1. Vibration isolation of new equipment and systems within project boundary. 2. Vibration isolation and seismic restraint of new equipment and systems in existing buildings to points of connection with existing systems. ASBESTOS ABATEMENT: REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF ASBESTOS-CONTAINING THERMAL SYSTEM INSULATION ASSOCIATED WITH HVAC SYSTEM THROUGHOUT BUILDINGS #1 & 2 (BASEMENT AND FLOORS 1 THRU 3). SEE ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PLANS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. 2. ASBESTOS ABATEMENT: REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL OF ASBESTOS-CONTAINING YELLOW AND BLACK MASTIC ASSOCIATED WITH NON-ASBESTOS 12''X12'' FLOOR TILE (ALL LAYERS) THROUGHOUT BUILDINGS #1 & 2 (BASEMENT AND FLOORS 1 THRU 3). SEE ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PLANS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. 3. ALL ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SHALL BE CONDUCTED PER SPECIFICATION 02 82 13 ASBESTOS ABATEMENT AND APPLICABLE IDPH, EPA, AND OSHA REGULATIONS.
