Reference Number 0000348663 the Michigan Planning Enabling Act, every five years an adopted Master Plan should be reviewed, and a determination made if an update should occur. The City of Manistee Planning Commission is recommending a update of the 2016 Master Plan. The City of Manistee and Housing North have collaborated to apply for the Housing Readiness Incentive Grant in January 2024 and was awarded the grant in February 2024 in the amount of $33,000.00. Grant # HRI-2024-82-LEG. We want to use the awarded grand funds and we don't have additional funds. Purpose: The intension of this RFP is to obtain a cost estimate for updating the current Master Plan. The City will assist the Contractor in the guiding the Master Plan around a new format. A goal of the new Master Plan would be to set out objectives and strategies to manage development and change over time. A process that defines what is important about the City of Manistee and how its character and quality can be conserved, improved, and enhanced. Scope Outline & Process: Review and Format Master Plan Content: Pull relevant language and content from existing plan to be utilized in new Master Plan format.
