Site work and paving for a road / highway in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The Bid Opening date is hereby extended from May 9, 2024 to May 16, 2024 @ 2:00PM. Correspondingly, the last day to receive questions is hereby revised to be Friday May 10, 2024 at 1:00 pm. All other items pertaining to the submission and opening of the bid shall remain the same South Franklin Street Improvements for the furnishing of labor, material, and equipment for the construction of the South Franklin Street Improvements as prescribed in the bid package. Questions or clarifications on the bid package will be received up to 5:00PM on April 25, 2024. The RP HV Lakeside, LLC reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. Description of Work: Contractor agrees to furnish a proposal using its best skill and attention to other services, labor, tools, equipment, materials and supplies necessary to perform all set forth below. The Scope of Services shall include, but not be limited to, the following: GENERAL REQUIREMENTS AND CLARIFICATIONS 1. In general, this scope of work shall include site clearing and grading (rough and finish grading), excavation, cut/fill and compaction, sanitary sewer, temporary and permanent storm water facilities, potable water, curb, gutters, stone base, paving, pavement markings, sidewalk, trails etc. 2. All final landscaping & irrigation shall be contracted directly by the Owner but planting area grade preparation shall be a part of this scope of work. 3. Any work performed adjacent private property shall be restored to original condition. 4. The Contractor shall provide full-time supervision to oversee the work covered in this Contract Agreement. The Project Manager / Superintendent is required to attend the job site coordination meetings as requested by the Owner. 5. The Contractor shall be responsible for the security and protection of its work, materials, tools equipment, and material furnished by others, which he receives or handles. 6. Contractor shall provide barricades, flaggers and traffic control that may be necessary for the proper performance of the work in roadways and in accordance with the maintenance of traffic plan. 7. Contractor is responsible for furnishing his or her own temporary power and water that may be required for the completion of their scope of work. 8. The Contractor is responsible for all task lighting required to complete the Contractors scope of work. 9. Contractor is responsible for properly notifying all agencies / agency inspectors during the course of the construction. Any work not accepted by the local agencies due to Contractors lack of notification shall be remedied at the Contractors expense. 10. The Contractor shall perform the work in compliance with the requirements and standard specifications for the agencies having jurisdiction. The work shall not be considered complete unless accepted by the appropriate municipal and governmental authority. 11. It is the Contractors obligation and responsibility to ensure that its field superintendent and its subcontractors field superintendents are working from the most current set of plans. In the event work is in progress and the field superintendent does not possess and is not working from the most current set of plans, Owner reserves the right to suspend further work until the Contractor provides a currentset of plansto itsfield superintendent. Suspension of work for this reason DOES NOT constitute an extension in schedule. 12. This Contract Specifically Excludes the Following: a. Design or profession engineering services b. Geotechnical observation / construction material testing c. Construction staking d. Landscaping e. NPDES monitoring k. Removal of unknown burial debris or handling and/or manipulation of hazardous materials and/or remediation l. Performance bond (5% 30 day bid bond required) m. Permits or municipal fees
