RFP #024-003 Question Deadline 04/30/2024 at 5:00 PM CT All questions regarding this Request for Proposals should be directed in writing to tsloth@winnetka.org All questions and responses will be compiled and posted on the Village's website by Friday, May 3, 2024. The Village invites qualified firms to submit a proposal to perform masonry repairs to the Electric Plant building located on the Work Site. Attached as Appendix A are pictures of the Electric Plant and the cracks that need to be repaired. Work identified by the Village is as below but is not necessarily all encompassing. The Proposer should endeavor to find, in their expertise, any areas that necessitate repairs. The Proposer shall submit in detail their recommendations on the masonry and lentil repairs. 1. Repair cracks on the North side of the Electric Plant. 2. Repair cracks on the East side of the Electric Plant. 3. Replace or repair lentils above upper elevation windows. The Contractor is to provide all labor, material, equipment, construction services, and professional services required to perform masonry repairs to fix the cracks, lentils and any other work deemed necessary in the judgment of the proposer ("Work"). Prior to the start of the Work, the Contractor will provide samples of the brick color to be installed. To the extent possible, replaced bricks and mortar should match the existing exterior. Proposers shall submit a proposal that, based on the proposer's experience and expertise, set forth a detailed description of the Work the proposer proposes to perform to repair the Electric Plant exterior wall ("Work"). Bid Bond 10% The Village reserves the right to retain all proposals submitted and use any idea in a proposal regardless of whether or said proposal is selected. Attendance by interested contractors is mandatory and the Village reserves the right to reject proposals from contractors who fail to attend. Prevailing Wage Act Certified Payroll. Contractor and each subcontractor, in order to comply with the Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. (the "Act"), must submit certified payroll to the Illinois Department of Labor, in accordance with Section 5 of the Act. Permits. Except as otherwise provided in Attachment A, procure and furnish all permits, licenses, and other governmental approvals and authorizations necessary in connection therewith.
