The removal of +-260 linear feet of 30-inch diameter ductile iron gravity sanitary sewer pipe, including +-40 linear feet of aerial crossing over Hominy Swamp Canal with concrete piers, and the installation of +-260 linear feet of 30-inch diameter ductile iron gravity sanitary sewer pipe including H-Pile supports each side of Hominy Swamp Canal supporting restrained joint crossing pipe, by-pass pumping and permanent matting along the stream banks. Bidders should make positive efforts to utilize businesses owned by minorities and women. The Owner has developed a goal of ten percent (10%) for participation of minority-owned and women-owned business enterprises in construction contracts awarded pursuant to NCGS 143-128. Bidders must comply with the Owner's requirements for W/MBE documentation. EPA MBE/WBE participation goals: MBE 10.9% WBE 10.4% BIDDERS shall be properly licensed under Chapter 87, General Statutes of North Carolina. CONTRACTOR shall comply with the requirements of Article 2, Chapter 64 of the General Statutes. Further, if CONTRACTOR utilizes a subcontractor, CONTRACTOR shall require the subcontractor to comply with the requirements of Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the General Statutes. No information, instruction or advice provided orally or informally by any City personnel or through Green Engineering, whether made in response to a question or otherwise concerning this Bid, shall be considered authoritative or binding. Vendors shall rely only on written material contained in an Addendum to this Bid. Inquiries submitted no later than the date and time noted in the project schedule. Questions answered verbally will be followed up by written addenda as deemed necessary; oral interpretations shall have no effect. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
