General Description of Work: The work involves grind and removal of a portion of the existing pavement, new hot mix asphalt overlay, adjustment of utilities, installation of new traffic signal loops, and new striping on Browning Road from County Line Road to 6th Avenue and installation of curb, gutter and sidewalk, hot mix asphalt, Class II aggregate base rock on the west side of Browning Road south of 9th Avenue in the City of Delano as described in the project plans and specifications Each bid shall be submitted on a form furnished as part of the Contract Documents and must be accompanied by cash, a cashier's check, a certified check, or a bidder's bond executed by an admitted surety insurer, or substitute pursuant to Section 995.710 of the Code of Civil Procedure, in an amount not less than 10% of the amount of the bid, made payable to the order of or for the benefit of the City. The security of unsuccessful bidders will be returned by the City no later than 60 days following the date of award.
