The intent of this RFP is to request Design Build Firms to provide preliminary Design and Cost Estimates for a new pedestrian ramp and new retaining wall at 30 Park ST, Vernon, CT, 06066. The Vernon Board of Education is soliciting bids for a design-build of a new ADA compliant pedestrian ramp to connect the Central office parking lot to the main access door at 30 Park Street. The scope of work will include the repair and installation of an existing retaining wall for the Central Office parking lot, as well as the demolition and removal of the existing ramp. Additional detailed information about the project, site location, and existing conditions will be discussed and provided to attendees at the mandatory walkthrough. Questions must be received no later than the date specified below. All questions will be answered via emailed addendum to all bidders. Questions must be directed by email to: Mark Rizzo, Supervisor of Facilities & Special Projects, Vernon Public Schools, mrizzo@vernon-ct.gov. Question due date: Questions must be received on or before April 22, 2024 at 3:00 pm EST, and will be answered by Addendum no later than the close of business on April 29, 2024. The scope of work will include the repair and installation of an existing retaining wall for the Central Office parking lot, as well as the demolition and removal of the existing ramp.
