The owner has selected a Construction Manager. The following firms were awarded: Kaufman Lynn Construction, Inc. Wharton-Smith, Inc. Lebolo Construction Management Inc Pirtle Construction Company D. Stephenson Construction, Inc. Proctor Construction Company KAST Construction LEGO Construction Co M/WBE's are encouraged to participate in the bid process. Proposers shall be capable of providing performance and payment bonds for 100% of the project cost. . In lieu of a bond, the College may accept a cashier's check, official bank check or money order in the amount of the bond. liquidated damages. Such liquidated damages shall be computed with respect to each individual laborer or mechanic, including watchmen and guards, employed in violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section, in the sum of $10 for each calendar day on which such individual was required or permitted to work in excess of the standard workweek of forty hours without payment of the overtime wages required by the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section. Question Deadline 04/19/2024 at 5:00 PM ET Answers Posted on and College Website 4/25/2024 5:00PM (EST) Scope of Work The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (Solicitation) is to review responses from firms interested in providing Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services and to select one or more firms to provide Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services through a Continuing Contract in accordance with Florida Statute 287.055 for various construction, remodeling, and renovation projects to Palm Beach State College facilities. Services will include a variety of construction projects located on any or all SIX (6) Palm Beach State College sites in Palm Beach County, Florida. These projects may include new buildings as well as remodeling, renovation, maintenance, and repair of existing facilities. Services awarded and work ordered under a Professional Services Agreement (Continuing Contract) in accordance with Florida Statute 287.055 and as authorized by the Palm Beach State College District Board of Trustees (College). Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) Under a Continuing Contract. The College reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to accept or reject any or all proposals, part of proposals, and to waive minor irregularities or variances to specifications contained in proposals which do not make the proposal conditional in nature, and minor irregularities in the solicitation process. Preconstruction Work Scope (Subject to negotiation and modification) i. Meetings - The CMAR will attend Project Team meetings with the College and the Project A/E at regularly scheduled intervals throughout the Preconstruction Phase. ii. Timeline - The CMAR will prepare a design, estimating, and permitting timeline outlining the tasks required during the Preconstruction phase. iii. Estimates/Estimating - Design Development: The CMAR will prepare an updated Estimate based on drawings and specifications within TWENTY (20) calendar days of receipt of drawings and specifications. 1. Estimate No. 3 - 50% Construction Documents: The CMAR will prepare an updated Estimate based on drawings and specifications within TWENTY (20) calendar days of receipt of drawings and specifications. Any significant deviations from the previous estimate relative to quantities, costs and schedule will be identified along with a suggested action plan to realign the project with the budget. The Estimate will be a detailed and comprehensive exercise further narrowing the scope of assumptions and qualifications. iv. Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) Estimate - 100% Construction Documents: At 100% completion of the Construction Documents, the CMAR shall submit the Guaranteed Maximum Price Estimate within (30) calendar days of receipt of drawings and specifications. The Estimate will be a summary of general conditions, general requirements, insurances, bonds, fees, costs of the work and actual subcontractor proposals tabulated with detailed scope completeness and accuracy, along with assumptions and qualifications. v. Value Analysis and Constructability - Concurrent with each Estimate, the CMAR will submit a detailed list of value engineering options, complete with estimated costs and schedule impacts.
