The Project consists of constructing approximately 3,330 lineal feet of 8-inch water main pipe installed by open excavation, soil staging area, including water main pipe and fittings, valves, and fire hydrants; reconnection of existing water services and abandonment of the existing 8-inch water main and appurtenances along Windham Street. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price and lump sum basis. Prospective Bidders must register with ARC Document Solutions as a plan holder and must purchase a set of printed Bidding Documents. Cost, not including tax or shipping, for each set of Bid Documents is $200.00. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website for the agent of the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Payment for Bidding Documents is non-refundable. No partial sets or individual drawing sheets/document pages will be issued. Documents may be obtained in electronic format (PDF) by registered plan holders for an additional cost paid to ARC Document Solutions, after the initial printed copy purchase. Each Bidder must be a Bidding Documents Holder, as defined in the Instructions to Bidders. The Village of Garrettsville, Ohio anticipates receiving funding from the Water Supply Revolving Loan Account (WSRLA) and from Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) to aid in financing the Project. The requirements for Bidders, Contractors and Subcontractors are explained in the Bidding Documents. A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM local time on April 19, 2024, at the Village Hall, located at 8213 High Street, Garrettsville, Ohio 44231. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders. The Contract Times will commence running as indicated in the General Conditions.
