Renovation of a municipal facility in Somerset, Massachusetts. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
As of June 25,2024, project was not awarded. No definite date for the rebid. Each bidder must post a Bid Security consisting of a certified check drawn on a national bank or trust company or a Bid Bond in a form satisfactory to the Town with a Surety Company qualified to do business in Massachusetts, in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the total amount bid for the project, payable to the Town of Somerset. At a minimum, all personnel assigned to this project by the Contractor who is awarded this contract are required to have OSHA safety training. A performance bond is not required and 50% payment bond will be required. Attention is called to the fact that the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract have been established by the Massachusetts Commissioner of Labor and Industries. Said wages are set forth in the contract documents and form a part of the contract. All submitted proposals must be sealed envelope marked "Bid to replace old heating and cooling system with new HVAC system and new boiler" and delivered to the office of the Chief Procurement Officer, Somerset Town Office Building, Room 23, 140 Wood Street, Somerset, Massachusetts, 02726, at or before Noon, on Friday, April 26, 2024, at which place and date proposals will be opened and read.
