Site work and paving for a road / highway in Seaford, Delaware. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of April 26, 2024, the project is awarded to Jerry's Inc., with an awarded amount of $91,878.50. Street Paving Bids Spring 2024 A bid bond must accompany each bid. The bid bond shall be equal to five percent of the total street improvements bid. The successful bidder must present the City Manager with a performance bond or bonds in an amount equal to the proposed schedule of work agreed to by the contract. The successful bidder shall also secure and maintain, at its own expense, during the contract term, the types and limits of insurance outlined in the contract documents. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled time from the receipt of bids for a period of thirty (30) days. The City of Seaford reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any or all informalities in any bid or bids. All work is to be completed and billed by June 28, 2024. The failure to complete all work, and/or the failure to bill the City of Seaford for said work by June 28, 2024, will be grounds to reject any future bids by this contractor. The Contractor will be charged liquidated damages in the amount of $100 per day if the WORK extends past the sixty-six (66) calendar days or after the agreed upon extension date. Every effort will be made by the city to maximize the efficiency of operations with the paving contractor during this period.
