Renovation of a mixed-use development in Big Spring, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

The contractor shall provide all necessary tools, equipment, materials, supervision,and labor to remove the old medical air duplex dtry sytem located in the basement and replace it with a new medical air duplex dryer system. Questions shall be accepted by the Government in writing via email no later than May 3, 2024 at 4:00pm Central Time. Please list "Technical Questions - 36C25724Q0566 Replace and Install Air Dryers" in the subject line of the e-mail and send to Melanie Williams, Contract Specialist, at melanie.williams5@va.gov. Please include in your questions the section of the solicitation/page number that your question is referencing. The contractor shall provide all necessary tools, equipment, materials, supervision, and labor to remove the old medical air duplex dryer system located in the basement and install the new equipment. a. Removal: - Prior to disconnecting the dryers, the contactor must set up a medical air back feed in a room designated by the VA. Connect the back feed to the medical air outlet in the room and match the system pressure. - Turn off the medical air source valve at the current medical air duplex dryer system. - Turn off the disconnects at both panels. - Disconnect Power from the current medical air duplex dryer system. - Disconnect piping from the current medical air duplex dryer system. - Remove the current medical air duplex dryer system. b. Install: - Install new medical air duplex dryer system. - Connect piping. - Connect power. - Run dryer control to dew point monitor for control the control purge setting. - Turn on disconnects and re-energize the system. - Test for leaks. - Program dew point monitor for dyer controls - Disconnect back feed. - Test for proper operation. c. Contractor shall have a 3rd party commission the system and provide a report stating the system is operating correctly and is in compliant with NFPA 99. d.
