Flat Roof Replacement and Related Work at the Atkinson Elementary School, 111 Phillips Brooks Road for the Town of North Andover. Estimated Cost $495,000.00 Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK A. The Work under the Contract consists of: 1. BASE BID - Roof Areas A, B & C (Refer to Roof Plan) a. Replacement of all membrane roofing at Flat Roof Areas A, B & C, as shown drawings, at the Atkinson Elementary School with new modified bitumen roofing system, including but not limited to the following: 1. Remove and dispose existing roofing assemblies, including but not limited to, EPDM roof membrane, polyisocyanurate insulation, edge metal flashing, cant strips, roof drain assemblies, etc. Strip entire roofing assemblies down to existing concrete, metal and wood decks. Remove and dispose of all rooftop debris prior to commencing work. 2. Supply and install new tapered roof insulation, cover board, modified bitumen high performance built-up roof system in cold process, metal flashing, miscellaneous caulking and damproofing necessary to satisfactorily complete the entire work as shown on the drawings. b. Supply and installation of new prefabricated roof hatch with safety railings, and OSHA compliant fixed steel ladder including all related steel framing reinforcement, fasteners, cricket, cutting & patching existing metal roof deck, etc. c. Supply and installation of 100 LF of double 2x6 wood nailers to match existing as directed by the architect. d. Disposal of all items above at a legal off-site dump in accordance with all laws, ordinances, rules and regulations pertaining to the disposal of materials from the job site. e. All work either shown on the drawings or included in the specifications unless specifically indicated as not to be done.
