Project Descriptions: The work consists of an addition to, and renovations of, the Henderson County Career and Technical Center. The Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, site clearing, earthwork, termite control, asphalt paving, chain link fences and gates, lawns and grasses, cast-in-place concrete, unit masonry assemblies, structural steel, steel joists, steel deck, metal fabrications, steel handrails and railings, miscellaneous carpentry, interior architectural woodwork, building insulation, spray on thermal insulation, open cell spray foam insulation, thermoplastic membrane roofing, membrane roofing preparation, sheet metal flashing and trim, manufactured roof specialties, firestopping, joint sealants, hollow metal doors and frames, flush wood doors, access doors and frames, aluminum windows, finish hardware, glazing, gypsum board assemblies, ceramic tile, acoustical panel ceilings, resilient floor tile, resilient wall base and accessories, linoleum tile floor coverings, carpet tile, painting, visual display boards, toilet compartments, welding curtains, signs, toilet and bath accessories, floor mates, HVAC & plumbing systems, electrical (power, communication, and lighting) systems, and complete clean-up and removal of construction debris. The Owner reserves the right to determine the ability of any bidder to perform the work, and upon the request of the Owner, any bidder shall furnish such information as may be required to make this determination. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a performance and payment bond and a material and payment bond in an amount equal to at least One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract price. The premium for the bonds shall be included in the proposal amount(s). The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the Owner and to reject any bid where evidence of information submitted by the bidder does not satisfy the Owner that the Bidder is qualified to carry out the details of the Contract Documents. Bid Guaranty in the form of a Bid Bond (Proposal bonds with Contractor acting as surety are not acceptable), Certified Check, or cash shall accompany each bid. The amount of the bid Guaranty shall be not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid set forth in the Proposal Form. All bid Guaranties shall be made payable to the Henderson County Schools. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days there from. ***Document Note: Hundred Dollars for each set of Documents. Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Electronic copies of the plans will be available and shall be arranged with and paid for directly to Maco-Evansville Blue (non-refundable).
