Description: The City of Albertville, Alabama, will receive sealed bid proposals for various improvements to Motley Street Pre-qualification is not required; however, all bidders must conform to the contractor requirements provided in the bid specifications. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope visibly marked "SEALED BID" and including the current requisition number. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all items covered in the request or any portion(s) thereof, re-advertise, and /or take other steps to pursue the City's best interests Bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all the provided specifications. The determination of the lowest responsive and responsible bidder may involve all or some of the following factors: price, conformity to specifications, financial ability to meet the contract, previous performance, facilities, and equipment, availability of repair parts, business experience, delivery and, other objective and accountable factors which are reasonable. Bidder must provide a performance bond in an amount equal to the Contract Amount as security for the faithful performance and/or payment of all Contractor's obligations under the Contract Documents. Performance and payment bonds shall be issued by a solvent corporate surety authorized to do business in the State of Alabama and shall meet any other requirements established by law or by OWNER pursuant to applicable law. This bid requires a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the total bid. The General Contractor's License number must be displayed on the outside of the sealed bid envelope. Bids without a license number will not be considered.
