Completed plans call for the construction of a 400-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and playground / park / athletic field.

The intent of this Bid Call is to obtain an offer to perform all Work required for the construction of utility rough-ins, building foundation, parking lot, and earthworks for a modular sports field at the Antigonish Education Centre located at 30 Appleseed Dr, Antigonish, Nova Scotia for a Stipulated Price Contract in accordance with the Contract Documents. It is the SRCE's intent to have all work completed, to point of Substantial Performance of the Work, prior to Thursday, October 31, 2024. It is expected an early award of this Contract will enable the Successful Bidder to facilitate shop drawing review and ordering of materials to allow commencement of work immediately following award of tender. Submit with the Bid a CCDC 220 - 2002 form of bid bond in an amount of not less than 10% of the bid price. Provide security for performance of the Contract in the form of a performance bond for 50% of the Contract Price. Provide security for payment of labour and material provided in the performance of the Work in the form of a Labour and Material Payment Bond for 50% of the Contract Price. The Successful Bidder may provide, in lieu of the specified Performance Bond, security for performance of the Contract in the form of a certified cheque or bank draft for 10% of the Contract Price. The SRCE reserves the right to demand, at any time, during the full term of the project the Criminal Record checks and/or the Child Abuse Registry checks of any personnel authorized by the Contractor to be on the SRCE work or school sites.
