Renovation of a municipal facility in Elk Grove, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

As of June 14, 2024, project was awarded to Specialized Elevator Services, LLC dba Elevator Industries, but no amount available. Contract Award: June 13, 2024 Question Deadline: May 7, 2024, by 3 pm Additional pre bid meeting note: It is the responsibility of prospective proposers to familiarize themselves with all requirements of the solicitation and identify any issues at this meeting. SCOPE OF WORK CONTROLS: Microprocessor Control System: o Furnish and install a new, non-proprietary, microprocessor-based control and drive system. Dispatcher: o Furnish and install a new microprocessor-based dispatch system on all multi-car banks which shall be incorporated integrally into the control cabinets of the new controller(s). MACHINES & MOTORS: o Hoist Machine: Furnish and install new hoist machine, blocking beams, and related hardware. o Sheaves: Furnish and install new sheaves. Flush and add grease where needed. o Hoist Ropes: Furnish and install new hoist ropes designed for elevator usage. o Hoist Motor: Furnish and install new hoist motor on the existing machine: o Hoist Machine Brake: Furnish and install new machine brake. CAR ENCLOSURE: Cab Interior: o Retain the existing cab shell and upgrade the interior as follows. Install a new elevator cab interior. The new cab interior shall be furnished and installed as follows: 1. New interior wall panels, please provide an option for a robust interior for industrial purposes. 2. Stainless-steel handrail shall be provided on the rear wall. 3. A new T-Bar type ceiling shall be provided. The new ceiling shall be manufactured of aluminum with a brush finish. The ceiling shall have 2 ea. translucent light diffusers. 4. Furnish and install new car doors. Car Station: o Furnish and install one (1) new main car station in the elevator. The new car station shall be manufactured and installed in accordance with ADA, ANSI Code A17.1, and other applicable codes. The new car panel shall be constructed of Stainless Steel with a brush finish. The car panel shall have the following integrally mounted components: HALL SIGNAL FIXTURES: Hall Call Stations: Furnish and install new surface mounted hall stations, the fire recall landing. The new hall station at the fire recall landing shall be manufactured of stainless steel with a vertical grain and a brush finish. The new hall stations shall have the newest coder required devices per the most recent edition of the code having jurisdiction: o Illuminating up and/or down buttons. o Fire emergency recall switch at the designated landing. o Fire Service Operating signage as required by ANSI Code. o Fire Service Indicator at the main recall floor. o Inspectors Access Key Operated Switches. o Surface mount design to facilitate easy installation in existing buildings. DOOR OPERATION: o Furnish and install new door operator assemblies and related equipment on each elevator. o The new door operator(s) shall be of the closed loop type V.V.A.C o Replace the existing car door hangers and tracks. o GOVERNORS & SAFETIES. o Governor: Retain the governor assembly. Adjust and test the same. o Governor Tail Sheave: Replace the Governor Tail Sheave assembly. o Governor Rope: Furnish and install a new governor rope on the new governor. o Car Safety Device: Retain the existing car safety. Inspect same. Lubricate pivot points and pins. o Rope Gripper: Furnish and install a new Ascending Overspeed Safety device as required by code. PIT EQUIPMENT: o Limit Switches and Hoistway Operating Devices: Furnish and install any additional hoistway normal, final, and emergency terminal speed limiting limit switches at the terminal landings where required by the new elevator controller. In the event that the elevator over travels by an excessive amount the terminal limit switch shall disconnect power from the elevator and apply the brake. o Pit Switch: Furnish and install an Emergency Stop switch in the elevator pit. o Pit Buffers: Remove and replace with spring type that meet same specification as existing. o Cleaning & Painting: Clean the elevator pit and paint pit equipment with rust preventive paint. o ROPES, RAILS & COUNTERWEIGHTS. o Guide Rails: Retain the existing guide rails, and counterweights. Check rails for proper alignment to provide smooth operation. o Earthquake Protection: Provide a seismic switch sensing device in the elevator machine room that shall detect movement in the building structure. The seismic switch shall be coupled to the new elevator control system, which will provide earthquake operation. o Furnish and install anti-snag protection for all counterweight brackets extending the full height of the hoistway. Protect all switch and cam brackets against hoist, compensating, or traveling cables becoming entangled on them. o Furnish and install retainer plates, if required, on the counterweight frame(s) to deter accidental counterweight derailment. o Furnish and install, where required, a sensing device for each counterweight that shall detect any displacement in the building structure or the counterweight leaving its guides.
