The project includes the following work: Base Bid: Replacement of approximately 510 LF of 10-inch concrete pipe with 8-inch PVC sewer main. Removal of the existing sewer main and modification of the existing manholes will be required for the installation of the sewer main. Sewer bypass will be required to maintain individual sewer services past a maximum shutdown time. Limited width of public right-of-way and depth will require trench safety equipment. Add Alternative No.1: Installation of approximately 410 LF of 8-inch PVC sewer main, manholes, and connection to existing sewer services and manholes. Sewer bypass will be required to maintain individual sewer services past a maximum shutdown. Limited width of public right-of-way and depth will require trench safety equipment. A Bid shall be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope plainly marked with the Project title, name and address of Bidder, and shall be accompanied by the Bid security and other required documents. If the Bid is sent through the mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope containing the Bid shall be enclosed in a separate envelope plainly marked on the outside with the notation BID ENCLOSED . Bids delivered by facsimile machine will not be accepted. A Public Works Contractor License for the State of Idaho is required to be AWARDED this work. All bids shall contain one of the following forms of Bidder s security in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Base Bid and all add alternates, made payable to OWNER: a) Bidder s Bond executed by a surety company qualified to conduct business in the State of Idaho, b) Certified Check, c) Cashier s Check, or d) Cash. OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
