Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Rutland, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
**As of April 30, 2024 project was awarded but awarded amount is not available.** The City of Rutland is soliciting bids from experienced Contractors to remove and replace sidewalk a total of 2,230 linear feet of sidewalk, on the west side of Forest Street, from Convent Avenue to a location approximately 70 feet north of Traverse Place and on the east side of Forest Street from Franklin Avenue to the Pine Street intersection. Contractors shall erect and maintain all necessary safeguards for such safety and protection. It shall be the duty and responsibility of all contractors and their respective subcontractors to be familiar with and comply with 29 USC Section 651, et seq., the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, as amended ("OSHA Act") and to enforce and comply with all provisions of this Act. If the City observes any situations which are in violation of this requirement, the Contractor will correct the violation immediately at their own expense. Work may not continue until the violation is corrected. If the City observes repeated violations, the City will consider this a breach of contract and may terminate the contract between the City and the Contractor without liability. The Contractor will be paid for work completed, and the Contractor will be responsible for paying any fines incurred by the City because of actions of the Contractor. Project Description The Contractor shall remove all existing sidewalk and install new concrete sidewalk on the west side of Forest Street, from Convent Avenue to a location approximately 70 feet north of Traverse Place and on the east side of Forest Street from Franklin Avenue to the Pine Street intersection. The total amount of installed sidewalk is 2,230 linear feet. The sidewalk to be removed is composed of concrete and asphalt. New sidewalks to be installed shall be 5 ft wide concrete as specified in these documents. This work must be completed during the 2024 construction season.
