Furnish and deliver Various Aggregate Material to the Department of Transportation, Sampson County Maintenance Yard on an as needed basis. The purpose of this solicitation is to establish an agency specific term contract to furnish and deliver Various Aggregate Material to the Department of Transportation, Sampson County Maintenance Yard on an as needed basis. The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) uses approved aggregate materials throughout the state to complete construction of roads, bridges and other surface and weather-related projects. The Contract shall have an initial term of two (2) years, beginning on the date of final Contract execution (the "Effective Date"). At the end of the Contract's initial term, the State shall have the option, in its sole discretion, to renew the Contract on the same terms and conditions for up to one (1) additional one-year term. The State will give the Vendor written notice of its intent to exercise each option no later than fifteen (15) days before the end of the Contract's then-current term. In addition, and with the Vendor's concurrence, the State reserves the right to extend the contract term after the last active term.
