As of June 6, 2025, this project is in the conceptual phase. An architect was not awarded and this project is on hold. The owner intends to release a new RFQ in approximately 90 days. The exact timeline for construction is still to be decided. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Town of Wilbraham, Wilbraham, MA ("the Town"), acting through the Wilbraham Select Board, invites the submission of sealed Requests For Qualifications (RFQ) for Designer Services related to the design of a fiber optic communications network ("Network") that will provide fiber optic access for next generation broadband services using municipal utility and open access models. All Responses shall comply with the RFQ issued by the Town of Wilbraham. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any, any part of, or all Responses in the best interest of the Town. Questions regarding this RFQ shall be submitted no later than 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024 via email to: nbreault@wilbraham-ma.gov Questions presented after this time shall not be considered. The Town shall endeavor to, but shall not be required to answer any questions received. Any questions answered shall be posted as Addenda on Commbuys and the Town's website with the RFQ documents no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024. It shall be the sole responsibility of Responders to be aware of any Addenda issued. Each Responder's name, address and contact phone number shall be clearly visible from the outside of each sealed envelope. The clock in the Select Board's Office in Town Hall shall be considered official. No late Responses shall be accepted. No faxed Responses shall be accepted. Conditional Responses will not be accepted. If the Town Hall is closed due to weather or other emergency, the deadline for receipt of Responses will be extended to the time posted above on the next business day upon which the Town Hall is open. Each Response shall be submitted in accordance with the Response Submission Requirements to be considered for award. Any Response submitted shall be binding for thirty (30) days after the time of the opening of Responses. The Town will not reimburse Responders for any costs incurred in preparing Responses in response to this RFQ.
