PROJECT LOCATION: Work will occur at the following locations: Southeast Junior High: 2501 Bradford Dr, Iowa City, IA 52240 City High: 1900 Morningside Dr, Iowa City, IA 52245 Hills Elementary: 301 Main St, Hills, IA 52235 Horn Elementary: 600 Koser Ave, Iowa City, IA 52246 Northwest Junior High: 1507 8th St, Coralville, IA 52241 Weber Elementary: 3850 Rohret Rd, Iowa City, IA 52246 West High: 2901 Melrose Ave, Iowa City, IA 52246 The project includes all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the relocation of eight (8) modular classroom buildings to Southeast Junior High from City High, Hills Elementary, Horn Elementary, Northwest Junior High, Weber Elementary, and West High. Work includes disassembly and transportation of modular classroom building units and restoration of existing sites, installation of pier foundations, electrical and other utility connections, installation of concrete sidewalk, erosion control, finish grading, site restoration and other related work. Equal to 5% of the bid in the form of a certified check, credit union share draft or surety bond Liquidated Damages: $200 per day Equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the School Board, and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all materials and labor, and also protect and save harmless the School District from all claims and damages of any kind caused directly or indirectly by the operation of the contract, and shall also guarantee the maintenance of the improvement for a period of two (2) years from and after its completion and formal acceptance by the School Board. ENGINEER ESTIMATE: $800,000.00 Base Bid Monthly estimates equivalent to 95% of the contract value of the work completed during the preceding calendar month.
