Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Iowa City, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The Project generally includes the removal and replacement of pavement and sidewalk, ADA compliant curb ramps, and improvements to the storm sewer intakes The following limitations shall apply to this Project: Specified Start Date: June 10, 2024 Substantial Completion Date: July 12, 2024 Final Completion Date: September 20, 2024 Liquidated Damages: $250 per day Each proposal shall be completed on a form furnished by the City and must be submitted in a sealed envelope. In addition, a separate sealed envelope shall be submitted containing a completed Bidder Status Form and a bid security executed by a corporation authorized to contract as a surety in the State of Iowa, in the sum of 10% of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and in the form shown in Section 0510, said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City, and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all materials and labor, and also protect and save harmless the City from all claims and damages of any kind caused directly or indirectly by the operation of the contract, and shall also guarantee the maintenance of the improvement for a period of five (5) years from and after its completion and formal acceptance by the City Council.
