Notice is hereby given that the Town of Pendleton, by and through its Town Council, will receive sealed bids for the construction of: TOWN OF PENDLETON SALT STORAGE FACILITY 555 N. PENDLETON AVENUE MADISON COUNTY, INDIANA The proposed work will include construction of a pre-engineered prefabricated pressure-treated timber salt storage building located at the Town of Pendleton Street Department, 533 N. Pendleton Ave., Pendleton, Indiana 46064, and all incidental work required, as more fully specified in the Contract Document and Plans. All proposals must be submitted on State Board of Accounts Form No. 96 together with the proper forms included in the Contract Documents, the entire set of which shall be filed intact as a bid. SECURITY: Any person, firm or corporation who submits a proposal MUST file with their bid a CERTIFIED CHECK, BANK DRAFT, CASHIERS CHECK OR MONEY ORDER issued by a financial institution insured by an agency of the United States in the amount of ten percent (10%), made payable to the Treasurer of Howard County. In lieu of the above, any person, firm or corporation who submits a proposal and has a principal place of business in the State of Indiana MAY file with their proposal a BID BOND in the amount of ten percent (10%), made payable to the Town of Pendleton of Madison County, Indiana. Proposals may be held by the Town Manager for a period not to exceed sixty (60) calendar days from the public opening. The successful Contractor will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, each, within ten (10) days after award of the contract and a two (2) year Maintenance Bond in the amount of thirty percent (30%) of the contract price prior to completion and final payment of the contract. PENDLETON AVENUE PENDLETON, INDIANA 46064 The work is to provide for the construction of an American Timber Bridge (ATB) pre-engineered, prefabricated, treated timber salt storage building, or approved equal, to be located at the Town of Pendleton Street Department at the location shown on the plans. The construction plans have been provided for information purposes only by ATB’s manufacturer, Wheeler Consolidated. Final Design and Construction Plansfrom the manufacturer,stamped by a registered professional engineer in the State of Indiana, are required to be provided by the awarded Contractor after award of the contract. All work is to be completed in accordance with these Plans and Special Provisions as approved by the Engineer. Furnish and install all components for two pre-engineered, prefabricated, treated timber salt storage sheds in accordance with these specifications and the preliminary details shown in the Construction Plans provided by ATB and drawn by their manufacturer, Wheeler Consolidated.
