Sewage Treatment System This project generally consists of: Removal and disposal of sludge and demolition of existing Imhoff Tank sewage treatment system; construction of sewage lift stations; controls and force mains; chain link fence; boring and casing under highway per I.D.O.T. requirements; sanitary sewers and manholes; castinplace concrete septic tank; sewage dosing pump station; recirculating sand filter; recirculation, chlorination and dechlorination basins and tablet chemical feeders; rock excavation, removal and disposal; imported backfill material; seeding, fertilizing and mulching; and other work as shown on the drawings and as specified. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth by the official Department of Labor wage rates and the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, sex, creed, age, marital status, color or national origin. Each BID must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the P.C.C.U.S.D. #1 for Five Percent (5%) of the total amount of the BID. Other forms of securities or cashier's checks will NOT be accepted. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds each in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount. The P.C.C.U.S.D. #1 reserves the right to reject any or all bids, readvertise for bids, or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
