As of July 29, 2024 this project was awarded to Chris Harner Excavating with the awarded amount of $396,380.28. The Project Consists of Reconstructing 2,535 Lf of Roadway, Including 0.4 Acres of Tree Removal, 653 Cy of Earth Excavation, 12,049 Cy of Furnished Excavation, 2,905 Tons of Aggregate Surface Course, 446 Lf of Pipe Culverts, 1.6 Acres of Seeding, Erosion Control, a-3 Surface, and Other Site Improvements on Old Golconda Road. Bids Will Be Received for a Prime Contractor on a Unit Price Basis as Indicated in the Bid Form. A Bid Security Shall Be Furnished in Accordance With the Proposal. The Contractor and Subcontractors Shall Not Pay Less Than the Prevailing Rates of Wages as Found by the Dept. Of Labor or as Determined by the, Court of Appeal, to All Laborers, Workmen, and Mechanics Performing Work Under This Contract, and Shall Comply With the Requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 Ilcs 130/1-12). Also, the Contractor Must Ensure That Employees and Applicants for Employment Are Not Discriminated Against Because of Their Race, Color, Religion, Sex, or National Origin. The Owner May Waive Any Informalities or Minor Defects or Reject Any and All Bids. Any Bid May Be Withdrawn Prior to the Above Scheduled Time for the Opening of Bids or Authorized Postponement Thereof. Any Bid Received After the Time and Date Specified Shall Not Be Considered. No Bidder May Withdraw a Bid Within 60 Days After the Actual Date of the Opening Thereof. Should There Be Reasons Why the Contract Cannot Be Awarded Within the Specified Period, the Time May Be Extended by Mutual Agreement Between the Owner and the Bidder.
