Renovation of a municipal facility in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Economic Development and Industrial Corporation of Boston (EDIC) d/b/a Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA), by its Chief Procurement Officer is pleased to issue this Invitation for Bid entitled "12 Channel Street Roof Drain Lining (the IFB). The IFB is issued in accordance with M.G.L. c. 149, 44A - 44J., as may be amended. Deadline for General Contractor Questions May 1, 2024 Descaling shall include proper high pressure water jetting, rodding, bucketing, brushing, and flushing of storm drainpipes followed by investigation by closed circuit television. Debris shall be removed and shall be disposed of by the contractor. The goal of cleaning is to remove debris, deposits, and other blockages to enable relining of the pipe interior. The Contractor will propose a pipelining method or combination of methods. The proposed lining will be structurally sound, impermeable, and adhere to American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standards. The proposed method shall not negatively impact drainage. After lining is complete the pipes shall be inspected by closed circuit television, with a final report provided to the BPDA. The lined pipe shall have a minimum 10-year warranty. The Contractor shall correct any defects, including but not limited to delamination or improperly cured resin.
