Site work for a power facility in Madison, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a power facility.

Sealed bids in duplicate are sought and requested by the Housing Authority of the Borough of Madison, Morris County, New Jersey, (herein called "Owner"), for the Transformer Relocation Project at 15 Chateau Thierry Avenue, Madison, NJ. The project entails work related to the relocation of the existing electrical transformer at the rear of the building to a new pad located above flood elevation. The electrical contractor will be responsible for obtaining all permits and providing and installing the new transformer pad, installing a new junction box where the electrical transformer is currently located, providing and installing new secondary conduits and conductors and connecting to existing secondary conduits inside new junction box, running primary conduit up new electrical pole, and coordinating with Madison Electric in all phases of work. The new concrete curb and new bituminous paving shown on Drawing 1 prepared by Goldenbaum Baill Engineering, Inc., are not included in the scope of work. All prospective bidders must be able to prove to the satisfaction of the Madison Housing Authority that they have the skill and experience, as well as the necessary facilities, ample financial resources, organization and general reliability to do the work to be performed under the provisions of this contract. 2. Sealed bids for the Project will be received as a Single Lump Base Bid. 5. The Owner requires that all bids shall comply with the bidding requirements specified in the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS (Parts 1 & 2) and HUD-5370. 6. The Madison Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, award bids in whole or in part, and waive informalities if deemed to be to the Owner's advantage to do so. 7. Bids will be good for 60 days. 8. Funding for this project is provided by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to the County of Morris. Therefore, the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis Bacon wage rates and reporting will apply. In all cases, the stricter of the Federal labor laws, when applicable, or New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce standards (including the NJ Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A 34:11-56.25 et seq., for public works projects) will apply. Attention is called to the fact that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their age, race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, marital status, sex, affectional or sexual orientation. Small, Minority and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit bids.
