Installation of Polyurea or Equivalent Floor Coating. Bid Bond, the bidder must enclose a Certified Check or Bid Bond with each bid. A Certified Check or Bid Bond must be for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid price and must be made payable to the CITY OF FERNANDINA BEACH as a guarantee that the Bidder will not withdraw its bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after Bid closing time. If Bid is greater than $100,000 and is for material only, a Bid Bond is required but no Payment and Performance Bond is required. If Bid is $100,000 - $200,000, and is for services, a Bid Bond is required but no Payment and Performance Bond is required. SCOPE OF WORK Fernandina Beach is seeking bids from qualified Polyurea or equivalent floor coating and installation Contractors to perform services at various City buildings/facilities. The scope of services are as follows: o Upon request and coordination by the City, Contractor is to perform a site visit to the facility identified to determine the costs and degree of work to be performed. o Contractor shall prepare existing floors to a clean surface suitable for the application of the new floor coating. o All products must meet the specifications listed herein. o Any floors that contain damage shall be repaired to an acceptable surface utilizing Polyurea mender or equivalent. o Contractor is to uniformly install a base coat over the concrete surface using a Pure Polyurea coating or product equivalent. o Contractor shall uniformly "broadcast" vinyl chips with color to be selected by the City. o Contractor shall uniformly install a Polyaspartic Topcoat or product equivalent. o If applicable, Contractor is to install 4-8" base cove to all walls that join floor surfaces. In accordance with Item 16, General Terms and Conditions, please provide proof the Contractor/Vendor is not listed in the Excluded Parties List System, a federal suspension and debarment listing. Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. The City reserves the right, based upon its deliberations and in its opinion, to accept or reject any or all proposals. The City also reserves the right to waive minor irregularities or variations to the specifications and in the bidding process.
