**As of May 24, 2024 project is on hold. Likely we will be bidding this again for summer 2025 with a much larger scope.** Replace the ceiling and lights in hallways, entrance vestibules, and lounges. Start Date: June 6, 2024 Completion Date: August 2, 2024 SCOPE OF WORK Abatement of ceiling pads and glue pods, removal/disposal of light fixtures, temporary lighting, coordinate securing current camera locations, install ceiling grid and pads, new lighting in grid and exit lights. Trades on the project to be supervised by General Contractor including Abatement, Paint and Electrical Contractors. This project will be bid based on the attached MSU IPF base contractor list. All sub-contractors for these trades must also be from this list. Completed work shall be subject to the Michigan State University IPF Standards for Construction, if not called out in the distributed drawings. The successful bidder will be required to coordinate this work through the MSU contact. The contractor is responsible for adherence to all applicable Federal, State and Local codes and regulations that may affect the performance of the work specified herein. TAX AND LABOR When providing labor as well as materials, Michigan sales tax must be paid by the contractor. Contractors involved in new construction and improvements on the campus of Michigan State University must pay the prevailing wage as per Public Act #166 of 1965. All work must carry a one-year labor warranty. B. MATERIALS See architectural plans provided by PPO. C. EXECUTION When providing labor as well as materials, Michigan state sales tax must be paid by the contractor. All work must carry a one-year labor warranty. D. METHOD OF PAYMENT When project is complete, invoice is to be sent to Michigan State University, SLE Planning and Projects Office, 550 S Harrison Rd, East Lansing, MI 48823 for final approval.
