The project will consist of the installation of a headwall/end wall on an existing cross pipe, installation of a new cross pipe with headwall/endwall, construction of 275+/feet of parallel bilateral constructed stone underdrain with 9 herringbone laterals extending into the roadway, pulverizing approximately 300 +/- feet of the tar/chip roadway, addition of base, and asphalt surface treatment according to Section 480 of The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Publication 408 over the 300 +/feet. The installation of all practices and materials should be in conformance with the appropriate Technical Bulletins produced by the Center for Dirt and Gravel Road Studies and Publication 408. Contractors shall comply with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (43 P.S. 165-1 through 165-17), and the Regulations issued pursuant thereto by the Department of Labor and Industry. Bids should be prepared using the Prevailing Wage Project Rates from the Bureau of Labor Law Compliance Project Serial Number 24-02733. A Contract will be awarded at the Hempfield Township Board of Supervisors Meeting to be held at the Hempfield Township Building on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024, at 7:00 PM, unless all bids are rejected.
