Columbus Public School District No. NE-71-0001, commonly known as Columbus Public Schools (the District ), is requesting bids from qualified individuals or entities for a construction project that includes, but it is not necessarily limited to, general construction, structural, mechanical, and electrical work for the completion of Replacement of the Middle School Boiler at the existing Columbus Middle School. The project site will be available immediately upon the District issuing a Notice to Proceed, with construction to commence on or about May 22, 2024. The district s goal for substantial completion of the project is August 09, 2024. Bidders may propose an alternative date for substantial completion and such date, if any, must be included on the Bid Form that the Bidder submits. To familiarize themselves with the site conditions, bidding requirements, General/Supplementary Conditions of Construction, and to ensure comprehension of the specifications. Bids mailed by U.S. Postal Service that are not received by the time/date specified above will not be allowed and will be returned to the bidder. Faxed bids are not allowed. Any bid received after the deadline will not be opened or considered and will be returned to bidder. Bids shall be submitted with one prime bid by one General Contractor that includes all subcontracts. Bids shall be submitted with a Bid Bond and a Performance & Payment Bond for the full amount of the bid. 4. AWARDING OF BID. The bid will be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder.
