Killian Water Treatment Plant Upgrade Question Deadline 05/20/2024 WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS/REQUIREMENTS A. The work covered by this Contract consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials, and in performing all operations in connection with construction of the improvements to the Killian Water Treatment Plant (WTP), complete and ready for use in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications, and subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract. The Work to be performed under these Contract Documents includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Installation of a new well pump and wellhouse at the existing KI-5 well. 2. Construction of a new high service pump station, including concrete foundation, CMU walls, metal roof, pre-engineered wood truss roof supports, pipe gallery, electrical room, crane rail hoist, and roll-up door. 3 Furnish and install three (3) horizontal split case pumps, pump control panel, associated piping and valves, and equipment pads. 4. Furnish and install a central sodium hypochlorite storage and feed system, including an above ground chemical injection assembly prior to the ground storage tank. Also included is a pre-engineered metal fabricated building to cover the sodium hypochlorite tank and associated metering pumps. 5. Furnish and install a new generator and fuel storage system. 6. Demolition of existing high service pump station, salvage of select pump station components. 7. Yard piping, including demolition and abandonment of existing yard piping. 8. Civil/site work, including construction of two stormwater management ponds 9. Landscaping and grading of the existing site area 10. Restoration 11. General electrical system improvements B. The project also includes all other work required for a complete and fully operational system as described in the Technical Specifications and shown on the Contract Drawings. C. The Contractor shall furnish all shop drawings, working drawings, labor, materials, equipment, tools, services, and incidentals necessary to complete all work required by these Specifications and as shown on the Contract Drawings. D. The Contractor shall perform the work complete, in place and ready for continuous service and shall include any repairs, replacements, and/or restoration required as a result of damages caused prior to acceptance by the County. E. The Contractor shall furnish and install all materials, equipment and labor which is reasonably and properly inferable and necessary for the proper completion of the work, whether specifically indicated in the Contract Documents or not.
