No Bidder may withdraw his proposal within a period of ninety (90) days following the date set for receiving bids. The City of Lafayette, Indiana, reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than ninety (90) days and said bids shall be and remain valid and in full force and effect during said time. The City of Lafayette, Indiana, further reserves the right to waive informalities and to award the contract to any Bidder or Bidders, all to the advantage of the City of Lafayette, Indiana, or to reject all bids. Any bids received later than the above time will be returned to the Bidder unopened. No oral, telephoned, telegraphed, faxed, or emailed bids or changes to bids will be considered. The general description of work for which proposals are to be received consists of: The concrete scope for the two-way conversion of 3rd and 4th St. Road resurfacing and street signals was previously awarded. This project scope consists of the sidewalk and curb removal ahead of signal pole foundation and necessary sidewalk closure signage. After signal foundations and poles are installed this project will restore the curb and gutter, sidewalks and ADA ramps. Work shall be in accordance with the Bidding Documents, including the Specifications and the Construction Drawings. The successful Bidder(s) of the work shall be prepared to complete the work between the issuance of the Notice to Proceed and August 2, 2024.
