("Project") Valencia High School Auditorium Modernization Project (VA2405A). the project consists of upkeep maintenance work within existing theater building including cosmetic maintenance work such as repainting, refurbishing, etc., as defined in title 24, part 1, section 4-314 (dsa ir a-22 appendix item 17), replacement of interior floor coverings of like materials (dsa ir a-22 appendix item 18a), and lighting and av upgrade: re-lamping, ballast replacement, fixture replacement (dsa ir a-22 appendix item 29).without work on structural framing or replacement of large mechanical, electrical, or plumbing units or systems. project is exempt from dsa review per title 24, part 1, section 4-315 (dsa ir a-22, 1.3.1) The award of the Contract will be based on the following method of determining the lowest bid: lowest responsive bid. District issues Notice of Award: 6/06/2024 Contractor commences Work: 6/24/2024 Contractor completes Work: Substantial Completion date: 12/24/2024. Final Project Completion date: 1/24/2025 The Successful Bidder must complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents and within the time period specified in the Special Provisions and the Master Construction Schedule as adjusted in accordance with the Contract Documents. The failure of such bidder to fully complete the Work within such time period(s) may result in the District assessing liquidated damages against the bidder as provided in the General Provisions.
