Demolition, site work and paving for a civil project in Westport, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and bridge / tunnel.

The work includes demolition of an existing bridge and replacement with a prefabricated Contech metal arch culvert. Project work includes removal of asphalt pavement and basecourse, dewatering, installation of new culvert/ bridge, basecourse, asphalt, grading, shouldering, pavement markings, restoration and other miscellaneous items in conformance to the Contract Documents. No Bid will be received unless accompanied by a surety in a form acceptable to the County equal to at least 5% of the maximum Bid, payable to the OWNER. See Instructions to Bidders for details. Town of Westport reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid which it deems advantageous. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for 40 days after the time set for receiving Bids (consisting of up to: 15 days for issuance of Notice of Award; 15 days for Contractor to return signed agreements, bonds and insurance; and 10 days for County execution of agreement). All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than two days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
