The Town of Ironton board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. No bid, except for limestone product bids and hourly equipment rate bids, will be received unless accompanied by a Bid Bond as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the contractor will execute and file the proposed Contract and Performance Bond, for the full amount of the contract within 10 calendar days after awarding of the contract. The Bid Bond is returnable to the bidder immediately after the acceptance of the Performance bond by the Town of Ironton. Limestone product bids and hourly equipment rate bids must include a business check payable to the township of Ironton in the amount of $1,000 to be held, uncashed, until the seasons work has been satisfactorily completed. The check will be returned at that time. If the bid is not successful, the check will be returned immediately. Limestone product bids must offer deliveries for township residents at the providers discretion. (The Township will coordinate such deliveries and guarantee all payments.) No bid will be received unless accompanied by a Certificate of Insurance or have provided a current Certificate of Insurance that is held on file with the town Clerk. Seeking bids for: 1) 3/4 " limestone road gravel 2) 2"-4" Limestone breaker run 3) Various sizes of limestone shot rock. 4) Limestone screenings The above materials to be delivered to the town shed or spread/piled at various job sites. All products are to be bid by the cubic yard. 5) Shouldering with 3/4 " limestone gravel, applied with a shouldering machine. 6) Ditch work consisting of cleaning, cutting down banks placing riprap and culvert replacement (Bids to be by the hour and can include moving costs) 7) Full width patches, using 4MT or 5MT hot mix asphalt placed with a paver and rolled. 8) Single Seal Coat using limestone chips, various widths. 9) Wedging of existing roadways, using 5MT hot mix asphalt. 10) Patching and full wedge overlay of existing roadways, various widths, using 4MT or 5MT hot mix asphalt as deemed appropriate. 11) Application of a 2 inch, 4MT or 5MT hot mix asphalt mat over new base. 12) Crack filling of existing roadways by blowing and cleaning cracks then applying a poly fiber Material.
