Sebastian County is interested in receiving sealed written proposals for furnishing the products/services specified in the attached Request for Proposal (RFP). Complete details regarding the products and/or services required by the County, and instructions for participating in the bid process, are included in the attached bid package. Bids must be received by the time and date indicated in the RFP. Bids received after the time and date set for opening will not be considered. Bidders who do not wish to submit bids must submit a "No Bid" to continue to be eligible for retention on the Bid List. The Bid List is periodically reviewed and bidders who have not responded to proposal requests are deleted. Background Ben Geren Golf Course is a municipal 27-hole golf facility in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The three nine's are the Willow, Magnolia, and Silo courses. The Silo course was designed by Jeff Brauer and built in 1995. B. Scope of Work The work consists of, furnish all labor, equipment, supplies and materials in performing all operations necessary for the complete and proper renovation of golf bunkers associated with this project. All work in connection with the removal and disposal of existing sand, gravel, and sub surface drainage pipe, reconstitution of bunker cavity to ensure no slopes are greater than 30 degrees, reconstruction of existing drain trenches if needed, installation of new drainage pipe and fittings, installation of pea gravel, installation of Flexscape lining material, installation of bunker sand to a compacted depth of four inches, and finished grading and sod of all disturbed areas outside of bunker cavity. New drain trenches may be necessary in various locations to accommodate better drainage or to make tie-ins with existing drainage, not to exceed 60 linear feet. Replacing failing outflow pipes, which would be very limited if any, this would not exceed 75 linear feet. The sand, gravel, drainage pipe, fittings, Flexscape, staples, glue, and sod will be purchased by Sebastian County Parks. The Bunker Renovation Project will include the renovation of all sand bunkers and some. Slopes adjacent to the bunkers on 9 holes known as the Silo course. The bunker renovation project includes all labor, equipment, and supplies necessary for the removal of all sand, gravel, and drainage pipe and the replacement of new gravel, new drainage tiles, new sand, Flexscape liner and minor shaping and sod replacement. The new sand, gravel, drainage pipe, Flexscape liner and sod will be furnished by Sebastian County Parks. The old sand, gravel, drainage pipe and other debris will be disposed of on site by winning bidder. Minor shaping and final grading to remove extreme slopes and erosion points will be done to prepare for sod and match (feather) the disturbed area to the adjacent undisturbed banks. The balance of the disturbed areas will have U3 bermudagrass sod installed. Measurements o There are 16 bunkers to be renovated on the Silo Course. o Interior construction area is approximately 30,000 ft2. o Exterior construction area is approximately 10,000 ft2. o Flexscape bunker liner 2,000 ft2. o Replacing failing outflow pipes, which would be very limited if any, should be included in drainage pricing. This would not exceed 75 linear feet. o New drain trenches may be necessary in various locations to accommodate better drainage or to make tie-ins with existing drainage. This would not exceed 60 linear feet. o Sebastian County believes these measurements to be accurate. The successful bid will verify measurements before entering into a contract with the COUNTY for this project.
