The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board (LFUCAB) invites the submittal of written Statement Of Qualifications (SOQ) from professional consulting firms interested in planning for the Terminal Area Plan at the Blue Grass Airport (LEX). The consultant contract will be administered by the LEX staff. LFUCAB's intent is to hire a consultant to develop a detailed terminal development plan, prepare supporting documents and exhibits, within FAA guidelines, and perform in an efficient and cost-effective manner. LFUCAB is interested in firms which can demonstrate expertise, credibility and ability to deliver such a project. Accuracy and integrity are paramount. The LFUCAB is an affirmative action and equal opportunity agency. The LFUCAB has established that there are opportunities for participation by Minority (MBE) and Women (WBE) Owned Businesses on this project. MBEs and WBEs are collectively considered as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE). The ability of the consultant to provide meaningful work for DBEs on this project will be an important evaluation criterion. The DBE contract goal for the design phase of this project shall be 5.0% of the contract amount. Exclusive agreements between prime consultants and DBE subconsultants are prohibited. The selected firm must also abide by the LFUCAB's affirmative action policies and DBE program goals prepared in accordance with 49 CFR Part 26.
