Scope-OPE: The Apex Park and Recreation District is issuing this Solicitation for the purpose of: EPDM Roof Replacement - 20-Year Fully Adhered The current Systems are as follows Plywood Deck 1/2" BUR 1/2" Wood Fiberboard .060 mil Fully Adhered Reinforced EPDM Area of Full Taper System Plywood Deck EPS Taper 1/2" Wood Fiberboard 1/2" BUR 1/4" Densdeck or equivalent .060 mil Fully Adhered Reinforced EPDM Remove and dispose of the existing roof systems down to the deck Remove and dispose of the existing flashings at walls and curbs Remove and dispose of the existing pipe boots and flashings Clean and prep the deck to accept the new roof system verify that roof opening and penetrations are in place, curbs are set and braced, and roof-drain bodies are securely clamped in place Verify that wood blocking, curbs, and nailers are securely anchored to roof deck penetrations and terminations -Notify the owner of any unsatisfactory conditions before proceeding Provide and install .060 mil non-reinforced EPDM, Black, Fully Adhered Provide and install 1/2" Coverboard, Mechanically Attached Provide and Install 2 Staggered Layers of 2.6" Polyisio Insulation to achieve R-30, Mechanically Attached Provide and Install a 1/4"-12" Tapered Cricket System to provide positive water flow toward drains Provide and install .060 mil EPDM at walls and curbs, Fully Adhered with Bonding Adhesive, Terminate with Termination Bar Provide and install all new membrane flashings at all penetrations, including but not limited to, Mechanical Curbs, Pipe penetrations, Structural penetrations, etc. for a complete system per manufacturer requirements Provide and install Wood blocking to account for added insulation thickness Provide and install 24 gauge Parapet coping with a continuous hook Provide and install 24 gauge Drip Edge Flashing Provide and install 24 gauge 6" box Gutters Provide and install 24 gauge 4" x 5" Downspouts Provide tie-offs at the end of each day's work to cover exposed roofing and insulation with a course of roofing sheets securely in place with joints and edges sealed Clean and remove all resulting debris
