Bids are requested for pavement planing on Good Road and for butt joints in Rustic Hills Subdivision, to install ODOT Item 441 Asphalt intermediate and surface Course, removal of existing asphalt curbs, install ODOT Item 609 Type 6 Concrete Curb with repairs and stipulated Traffic Control on 2.02 miles of roads in Montville Township, Medina County, Ohio. The Township reserves the right to eliminate, increase, decrease the estimated quantities of any line item or to non-preform any lump sum item. The Contractor shall be capable of adjusting to these demands and perform any additional work as directed by the Board of Trustees or their representative. The Engineer's Estimate for the base bid is $ 545,705.00. No contract shall be awarded at a price more than ten percent in excess of the Engineer's estimate. The improvement project shall have a substantial completion date of August 12 th , 2024 and a final completion date of September 2 nd , 2024. Each bidder shall be required to file a bid guaranty with the bid in the form of either: (1) a Bid/Performance Bond in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid; or (2) a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Letter of Credit shall equal to 10% of the amount bid, conditioned that the bidder shall, if his bid is accepted, execute a contract in conformity with the bid, plans, details, specifications and bills of material. A Letter of Credit shall be revocable only at the option of the Township. Contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements detailed in the Bid Documents shall be required.
