Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Medina, Ohio. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

This project consists of the complete removal and replacement of the existing pre-cast box beam bridge on S. Huntington Street located just south of the intersection of S. Huntington Street and W. Smith Road with a new pre-stressed pre-cast concrete box beam bridge with a composite reinforced concrete deck and abutments. This project will also include the removal and replacement of existing storm sewer and structures, installation of new 8” water main, installation of new 8” sanitary sewer, installation of new concrete pavement with integral curb, subgrade stabilization, installation of concrete drive aprons, installation of new concrete sidewalk, and placing landscaping and seeding. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Cashier’s Check, or a bid bond, in the amount of 10 percent of the total amount bid, made payable to the City of Medina, Ohio and the Ohio Department of Transportation as guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with the City within thirty (30) days and its performance secured by a performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, and in default thereof, said check or bond will be forfeited to the City of Medina as liquidated damages. The Engineer’s opinion of probable cost for the base bid is $1,655,087.00. The final completion date for the project is August 1, 2027.
