Department of Transportation & Infrastructure (DTI) Maintenance and Accommodations Grass Cutting contracts. 1. The Contractor shall provide mechanical grass cutting and trimming, to a maximum of twenty (20) weeks per season, during the contracted period of all grassed areas which are identified as being part of the contract. The grass shall be cut in accordance to the attached Schedule "B"; any variation from the schedule and additional cuttings must be approved by Government prior to cutting. 2. Contractor to clean the site of all debris, twigs, limbs, garbage, leaves, etc. and repair all areas where winter damage has occurred, which shall include topsoil, fertilizer, lime and grass seed. 3. The Contractor shall trim around buildings and other structures, walkways, trees, shrubs, flower beds and curbing and other such areas where mechanized grass cutting cannot be carried out. The Contractor shall trim each time the grass is cut. 4. Care must be taken when trimming with gas and electrical trimmers as not to damage shrubs, trees, flowers and exterior of buildings. 5. Contractor shall rake and remove grass clippings after each cut and trim when the amount of grass is unsightly or would damage the grassed areas. All paved and concrete areas are to be kept free of grass clippings. 6. All steps, basement windows, walkways, driveways and shrub beds to be left free of grass clippings. 7. Grass cutting is to be completed the same day unless hampered by rain and then must be completed on the next fine day. Weather permitting, the work is to be completed Thursday or Friday, prior to weekend. 8. From Monday to Saturday, work shall not start prior to 7:30 a.m. and no later than 8:00 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time. On Sundays, work shall not start prior to 1:00 p.m. and no later than 8:00 p.m
