The City of Indio is seeking a qualified consultant to perform as-needed professional real property and right-of-way services to augment the City's in-house resources to deliver necessary construction projects identified in the Capital Improvement Program. Duties will include necessary research, the preparation of right of way exhibits, legal descriptions and assisting the City in acquiring necessary right-of-way for the City's proposed construction projects. The assignment entails rapid and thorough completion of various tasks. The consultant will serve as a reference and resource pertaining to questions regarding real property and right of way acquisition, in conformance with typical principles, polices, and practices. a. Provide a description of the work objectives (tasks, sub-tasks, and deliverables) that are anticipated to be provided. The scope shall include but not be limited to the items listed in "Section III - Scope of Services".
b. Please address what you believe to be the most important items, as well as items that you believe are the most important for civil engineering services for the City of Indio. Provide a brief synopsis of the proposal summarizing the firm's unique qualities and the overall benefit of the proposal for the City and your understanding of the scope of services.
c. Note: The description of your approach to providing scope of work should demonstrate to the evaluator that you have good understanding of what it takes to provide each task shown in "Section III - Scope of Services" of this RFQ. The City reserves the right to seek new proposals when it determines that it is in the best interest of the City to do so. The anticipated length of the contract is three years plus two optional one-year renewals for a possible length up to five years.
